Description
The M31 Zeltbahn was a standard issue item for all EM/NCO German personnel. It was had multiple uses with it’s basic function as a protective rain poncho that could be combined with other zeltbahns for use as a tent in multiple sizes or as a groundsheet. The splinter pattern camouflage was developed in the early 1930’s and adopted for use with the M31 Zeltbahn in late 1931. The camouflage pattern was lighter on one side for spring/summer usage and darker on the other side for autumn/winter.
This zeltbahn has with the usual wear and tear expected from a used original. It has an ink stamp and minor field repairs. Missing one grommet that has had a period field repair, the zeltbahn has a strong vibrant colour to both sides. It is strong with no major rips or tears.
A good used example.
