Description
The Mother’s Cross was introduced by Adolf Hitler on December 16TH 1938. It was part of a propaganda campaign design to increase the birth rare in Aryan German females.
The cross existed in three grades – bronze 4-5 children, silver 6-7 children and gold 8 or more children.
This example is the harder to find silver cross. It is in very good condition, complete with its original ribbed rayon ribbon. The front bears the inscription Der Deutschen Mutter, (The German Mother) and the reverse has the impressed date 16 Dezember 1938 and a facsimile of Hitler signature. A fine example.
