Description
The Kriegsmarine decal has a bright vibrant gold colour and there are remains of the tri-colour on the right hand side. The helmet is a size 62 manufactured by ET and the liner band is an early un-reinforced aluminium model.
The shell has much of the early apple green paint, with wear from period usage.
The chinstrap is all complete, manufactured by Larson Berlin 1938 and is rare in that it carries a M, marine marking with a German Waffenamt eagle. The liner has a bootstrap in the liner, which is not a modern replacement and the rear skirt carries the name in black paint, which looks like Bock.
The helmet was used by the coastal artillery force of 10 battery Artillerie Stützpunkt Süd, Stützpunktgruppe Hirtshals, on the northern west coast of Denmark.
A rare untouched early Kreigsmarine Coastal artillery helmet.
