Early war MkII pouches, part of the 37 pattern webbing. The MkII pouches were identical to the MKI pouches, with the belt hook positioned an inch lower down. This enabled soldiers to sit down without the pouches digging into the wearers thighs, a problem not realised in the 1937 trials.
WWII British Standard 37 pattern Mk III webbing set. Consisting of belt, cross straps and ammunition pouches. The pouches have a Mk III and 1943 date stamps.
